I know I have been neglecting you this past few day, I'm really busy running errands and going to parties here and there but as I've posted before, I will make it up to you after this holidays and I will post the parties and the gifts I received from my friends from Singapore, Japan and Korea.

World Teacher's Day

World Teacher's Day

Teacher's Day arrives every year on January 29 in the Philippines and on May 15 in Korea, and today is World Teacher's Day.

I almost forgot that today is the celebration, to think, my mum is a teacher!

"Happy Teacher's Day mum! I salute you for your passion and love for the children. Your patience is unbelievable humongous! You are the best preschool teacher that I've ever known. I Love you!" -kith

Students visit their teachers and offer flowers or gifts. Korean's are Confucians and as being such they respect their teacher's very much.

My friend is also a teacher, she once told me that her Korean student told her - Korean parents taught their children that they should not step or walk over on even the shadow of their teacher. Actually it's the same in Philippines, the respect for teachers high.

To all teachers all over the world. Happy Teacher's Day! Cheers!

Only a Dad

Only a dad with a tired face,
Coming home from the daily race,
Bringing little of gold or fame
To show how well he has played the game;
But glad in his heart, that his own rejoice,
Too see him come and to hear his voice.

Only a dad with a brood of four,

Teachers Day

Teacher's Day arrives every year on May 15 in Korea, and it's a bit of a big thing. Students visit their teachers and offer flowers or gifts. Korean's are Confucians and as being such they respect their teacher's very much.

My friend's student told her once that, their parents taught them that 'they should not step or walk over on even the shadow of their teachers'. If I were a teacher in Korea I will sure enjoy the status.
