Kudos to the Cebu Dancing Inmates and Michael Jacksons long-time choreographer Travis Payne and dancers Daniel Celebre and Dres Reid, as well as to Wardon Byron Garcia.

It was an awesome performance from the Dancing Inmates, Travis, Daniel and Dres, I had a goosebumps when I saw the video.  "They are not prisoners, they are dancers" according to Travis on an interview, and I totally agree.

The inmates of Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) learned the choreography in two days and the outcome?  It was flawless!  Everyone should get a copy of the movie, "This is it" where the said video and BTS are included.

The said video was uploaded on November 3, 2009 same day as his appearance in Jimmy Kimmel's show. Is it Krista Ranillo who's been rumored as Manny's secret affair? Because news item report Jinkee Pacquiao arrived in Las Vegas to watch the Pacquiao-Cotto fight November 9, 2009.

If it's not Jinkee, who could it possibly be? My bet, it's Krista cause if you look closely there's a resemblance on the girl's profile to Krista Ranillo.

On a different note, I *still* don't understand this whole obsession with social status. I've always thought the class system is obsolete especially in this day and age of individuality, you can be wherever you want to be on your own merit or personal capacity.

Is there anything wrong with wanting something SO bad? I don't see anything wrong for anyone to be crazy about joining the PFW festivities. Heck, I wouldn't be wherever I'm at now if I didn't (desperately if I may add) want to be in NY/Milan/Paris/Timbuktu/Whathaveyou.

Ah well, that's the third world for you.

Perhaps they should all go to Couture Fashion Week in New York?

Gobstopper | James Younghusband

James Joseph Placer Younghusband was born 4 September 1986 in Ashford, Middlesex, England. An English-Filipino football player who plays for the Philippine National Team.

Younghusband's career began when he signed for Chelsea in 1996 and signed a scholarship with them at the tender age of 10. While with Chelsea he made a number of appearances for the youth and reserve team. During his scholarship he attended the Salesian School in southwest London where he passed all his GCSEs and one A-Level.

Younghusband played in all of the Philippines' matches at the ASEAN Championships 2007, but had a hamstring injury just before the tournament started and was never fully fit. He however started all 3 matches of the group.

He is the older brother of Phil Younghusband, also a football player, model and Celebrity Duets Finalist.

Younghusband presently does modeling for labels such as Hanford and and was recently part of FG (Fresh Gear) Fashion show at the Philippine Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010 held at the SM Mall of Asia.

When the British Vogue came out with supermodel Kate Moss on the cover of its September issue wearing a toned-down cream trench coat paired with a crystal Zelda bib neckpiece made by Filipina designer Bea Valdes, the bib neckpiece or collar necklace is the new statement accessory to have.

Although the bibs has been popping up in the fashion runways of Valentino, Chanel and Louis Vuitton since the debut of their Spring/Summer 2009 collections, bibs have stretched their fabulous life to this day, as seen in the recently concluded Spring/Summer 2010 fashion shows.

Here in Cosmo Manila, chunky bib necklaces have accessorized the cutest cocktail dresses, basic LBDs (little black dress dahlings!), even plain tees. Pair a bib necklace with your most basic and simple pieces so they won’t compete with your fab neckpiece.

The Freego Spring Summer 2010 event went full throttle just this evening and Karl of Kpop-portal was there. The event was held at the SMX Hall 2, Mall of Asia in connection with Freego's participation at the Philippine Fashion Week. What I can say is that this collection is funkier, better and superbly styled! It was well attended and I even got to see BB Gandanghari in person.

Also, I learned from a "birdie" that a major jeans brand will join PFW next year perhaps inspired by Freego or just spying around?

Thanks to Eve Santiago, Marketing Manager (and Betchay) of Freego for the invites! Kudos to the Espino brothers of Runway Productions and SM for mounting the event. More power!

The new debatable look of Charice Pempengco continues.

Charice guested on "The Buzz" sporting a new "tan" look. Responsible for it was make-up artist Jake Galvez. Jake has said 'people will be seeing more of Charice looking glam' and that he’ll soon go to the US with the singer to do her album cover.

Glam? Which Chaster from ChariceManiac retorted: “We don’t mind glam, it’s just your overdoing it… like it better with the first shoot in Face2Face.”

The battle of comments continues when Jake answered,

“so should we adjust just for your tasteless desires?”

he received this,

“You’re the artist, she’s your canvass. Treat her like your Masterpiece.”

Jake’s answer to this, which was

“Exactly, so don’t complain. If you don’t like her anymore, then follow Miley Cyrus instead.”

To this, Jake received a barrage of criticisms. He was asked:

“Can you honestly say that her look right now is your Masterpiece? I think you’re very good and you can do better.”

Jake said,

“if it wasn’t a Masterpiece, then I should have not posted it… and just kept it in my files.”

A comment generated by this exchange said

“Charice needs to stick with his WB team here in the US. This guy can’t even take a constructive criticism. He’s gonna make Charice the joke of Hollywood. Her look isn’t even age appropriate. She looks 25-30, not 17!”

For Pete's sake, wake up Jake! Shouldn't it be what looks good to you, looks good to her followers as well? Apparently not. Look what you've done to Charice and her fans? Outrage!

Can't she she be glam in a teenage look? Does that mean that Madam Auring is glamorous? How come Sandara is 26 and she looks much younger and glamorous than Charice? Come on! She looks older than Jaya!

We just had a close encounter this afternoon with E! Entertainment's Third Sexiest Man in the World - Dingdong Dantes at the Powerbooks in G5. This is in connection with the promo tour of Yes! Magazine's "Bookazine" featuring Dingdong. He's regularly seen at the boobtube in the local adoptation of Korean Drama "Stairways to Heaven".

The last time I saw him was when I was about to take an entrance exam at the Ateneo. How time flies dear Mr Dantes!

GK Sunshineville visit

GK Sunshineville visit

We just had a great time at Nuffnang and HSBC arranged visit to Gawad Kalinga Sunshineville in Las Pinas City. We were with Patty of Nuffnang and HSBC representative Abi Lim along with a bunch of happy bloggers. On our way there Patty and Abi briefed us about the "Bayong ng Kabuhayan" livelihood program for the community of Las Pinas who does bags and other home items out of (reject but clean and unused) doypack sheets of popular Zest-O fruit juices. The partners in this worthy endeavor are Maraming Bayani Foundation, Gawad Kalinga and Zest-O Corporation. We were warmly welcomed by a dedicated husband and wife team (forgot the name... sorry) along with their happy partner beneficiaries who showed us how each colored and silver masterpieces are done. They toured us to the colorful GK community and we learned that they were not spared by the recent (Ondoy) typhoon. With the resilience and very positive outlook of these people how can you resist not to be "in love" with the wonderful work of art they produce which are priced to be very affordable.
