Super Junior, FT Island to Hold Concerts in Manila
MANILA ― K-pop boy bands FT Island and Super Junior will hold concerts in the Philippines in March and April.
First is FT Island's Manila 2010 Showcase, which will be held on March 6 at the Philippine International Convention Center, according to concert organizer Spin Manila.
Fifty fans will be able to meet the band members on the same day.
This will be FT Island's second visit to the Philippines. Last September, the boy band went to Cebu province in the southern Philippines to shoot the music video for their Japanese single, "Raining."
FT Island is composed of Lee Hong-ki, Choi Jong-hoon, Lee Jae-jin, Song Seung-hyun and Choi Min-hwan.
On April 10, idol group Super Junior will hold The 2nd Asia Tour: Super Show 2 concert at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
The boy band's Super Show 2 is an Asia-wide concert tour that kicked off last year in Seoul. Before going to Manila, Super Junior will hold concerts in Beijing, Taipei and Kuala Lumpur. Dream Maker Entercom is partnering with SM Entertainment to promote the tour.
This is the first time that Super Junior will visit and hold a concert in the Philippines and fans are excited that they will finally see the idol group members.
"I can't wait to see them," one fan wrote on a Super Junior fan club forum in the Philippines.
PULP Live Productions, the concert organizer, told The Korea Times that fans can expect a spectacular show from Super Junior.
Even though they've never visited the Philippines, Super Junior commands a huge following in the Southeast Asian country.
Super Junior's third album, "Sorry, Sorry," was the top selling K-pop album in 2009 in the country and the only K-pop album to enter the Top 25 Bestselling Albums of 2009 based on sales from Music One stores in the Philippines.
The album also reached gold record status three months after it was released in the Philippines.

FT Triple visited Philippines?
If the rumors are true that Jaejin, Jonghoon and Minhwan of FT.Island shot they music video in Philippines, it is most likely to be in Corregidor Island. From their background, you will see that them playing instruments in a ruined building called Barracks Building from World War II.FYI: This is a three-story concrete building which was constructed to be hurricane-proof. It was used for the billeting of American officers and enlisted personnel detailed at the garrison. The entire length of the building measures about 1,520 feet that it became popularly known as the world’s longest military barracks. Although it is just less than a third of a mile long, it was, however, commonly referred to as the Mile-Long Barracks. The headquarters of Gen. Douglas MacArthur was also located in this building.

FT Island's Cross & Change
Seem like every boy group wants to show their mature and manly side. The concept for F.T Island’s new album jacket was to show a more mature pop group and I think, I've seen this jacket photos before. It looks the same as the SS501 and Super Junior photos, very westernized except their hair. The members' photo tries to present each of their own charisma. The album 'Cross & Change' offers new taste to your usual FT Islandish ballads, it is more light and upbeat that is new to them as well.
F.T Island will release a short teaser on July 10th and will have their official comeback sometime next week.

FT Island for BAVI Phat?
The first time I saw Kwon Sang Woo in The Face Shop endorsements, I got really curious to why he was doing an endorsement for a Korean cosmetic brand. I searched over the web and found out that loads of them are doing it, like Bae Yong Joon for The Face Shop, Rain for Nature Republic, Lee Min Ho for Etude House, Kim Hyun Joong for Tony Mori and so on. Addition to this line up are FT Island for the new cosmetic brand BAVI PHAT (바비펫). Ok, I know you are confused. Bavi Phat is new in the Korean market and don't mistake it with Kimora Lee Simmon's Baby Phat brand. FT Island were at the launch of Bavi Phat's first store in Myeongdong, Seoul last 28 June and had a special fan signing session.
