To cap the celebration of Philippine Fashion Week, FG (Fresh Gear) comes out with a bolder and edgier line guaranteed to bring out the youth's daring streak. Taking its cues from nature, FG incorporates the different elements into teenswear, resulting in a collection that covers its classic and romantic aspects, as well as its wilder, more savage beauty.
The collection features four categories that shout all-out street glamour with a hard edge. Colors of Nature pays homage to the wide spectrum of colors that nature possesses. Primeval Patterns of Nature features geometric representations, abstract prints and ethnic patterns. Flora and fauna is a tribute to the romantic aspect of nature and finally Wild and Dark Nature with items that reference the "darker" side of nature.
FG infuses denims with attitude, training the spotlight on 'Etheral Jeans' - leather detailed jeans in special washes and "thrasher Jeans' which includes the 'Extreme Weather-washed Jeans' featuring peppered surfaces, cloud-like bleached effects, cracked & creased wash techniques and dusky carbonized finishes; and "Worn-afflicted Denim' that boasts rigid washing, toning back pocket embroidery, abraided and beated effects and frayed and layered textures.
Soccer player James Younghusband joined the models and elicited cheers from the crowd when he showed his abs on the ramp. Model and VJ Sarah Meier gamely posed on the photowall to adoring fans (and fellow bloggers)
