According to Tim Yap at Twitter... MTV Philippines “Katy Perry Live in Manila,” Katy Perry’s concert was postponed but with the recent disaster that happened to Philippines, the producer of her concert is planning to hold a benefit concert instead.
No need to guess who's joining her, none other than, cute American Idol runner-up David Archuleta.
Apparently, this is what they described to be the “bigger and better” version of the postponed concert. According to MTV Philippines, the net proceeds of the benefit concert will go to the Philippine Red Cross.
The concert will be held on October 17, 2009. However, the date is still tentative.

David Archuleta is huge in the Philippines. If he's there people will come. He did a concert in Manila in May with David Cook and they had over 50,000 people there. This benefit concert should raise a lot of money.

David did so well in the Philippines with his last concert. They have been waiting a long time for his return. This will be a very successful fund raiser concert. The people from the Philippines so deserve such a wonderful thing to look forward to.
Totally agree, David is so cool here in the Philippines. He welcomed all kinds of interviews and he's so nice to all the Filipino people.

I love Filipino people and I LOVE their food!! I also LOVE how much they LOVE our David. I am so happy that he will be visiting the Philippines again and that they will be enjoying his GLORIOUS voice!!

Oh my gosh...what an amazing concert that is going to be with David Archuleta. David is such a wonderful person to help out with this event and I know the Philippines love David's music. He is such an amazing singer / songwriter. And he is always so giving to organizations / people in need.
