Following its stable operation of the IP Hotel Fukuoka, Japan, the hotel chain opened on Sept. 16 the Imperial Palace Waterpark Resort and Spa, Cebu Resort, which it says is the largest in Cebu.
The resort sits on 89,000 square meters of land with six buildings and 557 guest rooms. The hotel is equipped with a water park, pool villas, kids' club and sports center, among others.
The resort is "Korean-style," with the staff also being trained to give "Korean-style" service, not to mention the architecture and interior both designed by Koreans, the hotel said.
"We are not stubbornly sticking to the (Korean) style. But we are fully utilizing Korean human resources in construction and interiors, among others," said Rhee Chul-hee, president of Imperial Palace Hotel.
It is 10 minutes from the Mactan International Airport and has a 180 meter-long private beach.
The water park can be divided into two zones: an adventure zone comprising of a toddler pool, wave rider, Amazon river, water slide and beach pool; and an island pool. Twenty-two cabanas along the beach offer some romance. At the water sports center, kayaks, banana boats, water skis, yachts, snorkeling gear, diving gear, and paragliders are available.
The buffet restaurant can serve up to 300 people, while its Korean restaurant will serve up Korean and Asian delicacies.
