I guess you're already familiar with the cute and cuddly little boy in Disney-Pixar's new offering UP. He's name is Russel and he was modeled after Korean-American Peter Sohn who works for Pixar Studio as an animator since 2000.
On creating Russell, Peter said, “The atmosphere here at work is like playing. We draw each other's faces in meetings, and Russell's face was actually my face that someone had drawn. We decided to make the main character of the new film Asian, and naturally I became the model."
I guess time has come for Asians to be on the lead and this is a welcome development. Cheers!
