CHRISTIAN BAUTISTA APPEARS IN INDONESIAN DATING TV SHOW "TAKE CELEBRITY OUT"

In North Jakarta, Indonesia, at a studio called The Dome, Christian Bautista graced the live episode of Take Celebrity Out—a high-rating show in the country's leading network Indosiar—as one of the three celebrity male contestants.

As Christian's name was announced, he began singing from behind the screen, and had all the ladies in the studio screaming and cheering.

The dating game, which is a franchise of the FremantleMedia, tasked the Filipino star to search for "love" among the 30 famous single ladies—including the host of the show, Yuanita, who joined because of her huge crush on Christian.

The episode, which will be aired this week, ended with the audience picking Christian and actress Smitha, who both took home five million rupiah in cash.

Jang Dong-gun & Koh So-Young Wedding

The wedding of Korea’s “Hollywood” couple Jang Dong-gun and Koh So-young set for this weekend is the most talk about issue and even expected to freeze film and TV shootings.

The high-profile ceremony is off-limits to the public and press, will take place this Sunday at the Shilla Hotel. The ceremony is speculated to cost around 1 billion won ($900,000), an extravagant affair by any standard. The couple has reportedly advised the 500 invited guests and fellow actors to enter the ceremony gates alone.

The reason for all the privacy and security is because the couple wished to be a “regular” man and woman exchanging sacred vows to set sail on a “beautiful” new path together.

Observers say they predict droves of reporters will rush to the site to fight for a scoop on the very private wedding dubbed as the “wedding of the century.”

Jang and Koh have said they will have a separate photo shoot opportunity after the ceremony to cater to media needs.

Filipina tops Voice of McDonald's 2010

Filipina Chenee Capuyan, a McDonald's employee from Davao Del Sur, Philippines won the 2010 Voice of McDonald's global singing competition with her powerful rendition of "Stand Up for Love" popularized by Destiny's Child.

She received the grand prize of $25,000 and an all-expense paid trip to Los Angeles with two VIP tickets to the Lady Gaga "Monster Ball Tour" concert, as well as a new MacBook courtesy of the Coca-Cola Company and a donation to the Ronald McDonald House Charity in her name.

It was too late when the Filipina singer knew that the place was a gay bar (sigh!). I guess it was too irresponsible for her handlers not to inform Charice of the venue's reputation.

XLR8 Pinoy answer to KPop

I am currently glued every sunday noon on GMA7's Party Pilipinas with XLR8, the Philippines answer to Korean Boy Bands. The group is composed of teen cuties - Hideaki "Aki" Torio, Caleb Santos, Adrian Muhlach, MM Magno, Arkin del Rosario, Carlo Lazerna, Francis Ramos and Meljohn Magno. Pearls for Men

Pearls in men? Yes! popular Filipino movie and TV actor Piolo Pascual wore a golden pearl pendant suspended from a black silk cord around his neck. It was a gift from Jewelmer, when he represented the country at the Cannes Film Festival. Piolo has been wearing it quite a lot since then. Jewelmer is the largest producer of golden South Sea pearl. In the Philippines, wearing pearls is the domain of women, hope this would change perception of the common Filipino men. Cheers!

Daniel Radcliffe Back in Broadway

After an unexpected baring in Equus, Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) is returning to Broadway for the revival of the 1961 Pulitzer Prize-winning musical “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. It is said that Rob Ashford, an award winning director will choreograph and direct the said musical.

"How to Succeed" was revived a decade and a half starring Matthew Broderick and now by Radcliffe. However, "How to Succeed" has more singing and dancing. Will it still shock you to see Radcliffe sing and dance?

“How to Succeed” is scheduled to open in spring 2011.
