Gobstopper | James Younghusband

James Joseph Placer Younghusband was born 4 September 1986 in Ashford, Middlesex, England. An English-Filipino football player who plays for the Philippine National Team.

Younghusband's career began when he signed for Chelsea in 1996 and signed a scholarship with them at the tender age of 10. While with Chelsea he made a number of appearances for the youth and reserve team. During his scholarship he attended the Salesian School in southwest London where he passed all his GCSEs and one A-Level.

Younghusband played in all of the Philippines' matches at the ASEAN Championships 2007, but had a hamstring injury just before the tournament started and was never fully fit. He however started all 3 matches of the group.

He is the older brother of Phil Younghusband, also a football player, model and Celebrity Duets Finalist.

Younghusband presently does modeling for labels such as Hanford and and was recently part of FG (Fresh Gear) Fashion show at the Philippine Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010 held at the SM Mall of Asia.

To cap the celebration of Philippine Fashion Week, FG (Fresh Gear) comes out with a bolder and edgier line guaranteed to bring out the youth's daring streak. Taking its cues from nature, FG incorporates the different elements into teenswear, resulting in a collection that covers its classic and romantic aspects, as well as its wilder, more savage beauty.

The collection features four categories that shout all-out street glamour with a hard edge. Colors of Nature pays homage to the wide spectrum of colors that nature possesses. Primeval Patterns of Nature features geometric representations, abstract prints and ethnic patterns. Flora and fauna is a tribute to the romantic aspect of nature and finally Wild and Dark Nature with items that reference the "darker" side of nature.

FG infuses denims with attitude, training the spotlight on 'Etheral Jeans' - leather detailed jeans in special washes and "thrasher Jeans' which includes the 'Extreme Weather-washed Jeans' featuring peppered surfaces, cloud-like bleached effects, cracked & creased wash techniques and dusky carbonized finishes; and "Worn-afflicted Denim' that boasts rigid washing, toning back pocket embroidery, abraided and beated effects and frayed and layered textures.

Soccer player James Younghusband joined the models and elicited cheers from the crowd when he showed his abs on the ramp. Model and VJ Sarah Meier gamely posed on the photowall to adoring fans (and fellow bloggers)

A few nights ago at the Philippine Fashion Week - Ready To Wear Collection, one designer who stood out and kept people at their seats was the hip rock 'n glam creation of Ava Paguyo, finalist of Project Runway Philippines Season One. People took notice of the inverted dress worn by some of the models which made some girls think it can be done.

Kpop-portal was there to support and congratulate the cute and lovable hip designer.

All designs are lovely but Happy Andrada's collection that night stands out. I love the color of the dresses, it's gorgeously funky and the wedding gowns are so are fab, girls on their seats can't help but say "Oh! I want to have that one."
