‘Idol’ Kris Allen in Town

American Idol Kris Allen arrived in the country Wednesday morning in time for his self-titled concerts in Cebu City and Taguig City.

The Season 8 winner of the hit international TV show arrived aboard Cathay Pacific flight CX907 with a 20-man entourage that included band members, back-up singers and dancers.

Performing together with Allen in his concerts are hip hop dance crew Jabbawockeez and Boyce Avenue.

Allen’s concert will highlight popular songs from his first album which include the hits “No Boundaries” and “Heartless.”

“I’m expecting a lot of different voices in these concerts. I know Jabbawockeez is something and also Boyce Avenue.So I’m really excited,” Allen said.

Allen will be performing with the Jabbawockeez and Boyce Avenue at the SM Mall of Cebu on Friday. The concert in Taguig will be held Saturday night at the McKinley Hills concert grounds.

The hip-hop members of Jabbawockeez include Eddie "Eddiestyles" Gutierrez, Ben "B-Tek" Chung, Chris "Cristyle" Gatdula, Kevin "Keibee" Brewer, Rynan "Kid Rainen" Paguio, Jeff "Phi" Nguyen, Phil "Swaggerboy" Tayag, Saso "Saso Fresh" Jimenez, Randy "DJ Wish One" Bernal, and Joe "Emajoenation" Larot.

Boyce Avenue is made up of brothers Alejandro, Fabian, and Daniel Manzano.

JabbaWockeez Meet & Greet

All-male hip-hop dance crew from California JabbaWockeeZ who gained fame by appearing on the first season of America's Got Talent and winners of MTV's America's Best Dance Crew arrived in Manila and was warmly welcomed at musical variety show ASAP on ABS-CBN as their newest "kapamilya".

Later in the afternoon, the group had a meet & greet session at the posh Eastwood City in Libis Quezon City. Our good friends and would be bloggers Ana and Ziggy was there to cover the event and won tickets and cool stuff to their coming gig - MusicFest 2010 with Boyce Avenue and American Idol Kris Allen at the McKinley Hill Fort Bonifacio, Taguig on February 6, 2010 Saturday, 8PM.

Aside from the prize she got, Ana (the girl in green) was lucky enough to get kisses and big hugs from the JabbaWockeeZ most especially from Rynan "Kid Rainen" Paguio (her biggest crush!).
